Telemidi started as the vision of one musician, Matt Bray. While exploring how people could make music online, he pushed hard to find practical ways around the long-standing problem of latency and opened new doors for creative work at a distance.

Latency has always been a challenge for live remote performance. When it rises beyond even 30 milliseconds, the experience becomes difficult and limits real collaboration.

To tackle this, Matt focused his PhD research on Telematic Music Performance. Through that work, he created Latency Accepting Solutions technology, which became the core of Telemidi. This system makes it possible for artists to create, perform and make music online together smoothly, no matter where they are in the world.

What began as Matt’s personal project has grown into a strong team of experts in technology, audio, music, business and innovation. Everyone involved shares the same goal of supporting creativity and connection.
